With the changing trends in business setup and their management systems, it is becoming hard and challenging to leave office spaces unattended in regard to security issues. The ordinary lock and key system no longer meets the required standards necessary for the protection of sensitive business information, business properties, employee safety, etc., against unauthorized access. Office doors locks are modern mechanisms of improving security and preventing unauthorized access into the premises of the business. Consequently, Such locks provide organizations’ managers necessary control over employees, flexibility of service provision, safety and sense of security over critical business assets. This paper seeks to give an insight on the reasons that advanced and cheap electronic door locks are a must in every office and highlights critical product characteristics including, but not limited to, technology of manufacture, and scope of application.
